One time we had an idea to fill all of our window panes with hand-cut snowflakes - all 200 of them.
It started out pretty well...
We only got this far:
Let the Winter Solstice commence!
Keep going to learn to make these snowflakes...
Instructions for the perfect hand-cut snowflake:
Start by folding the 8x11 sheet of paper up to the edge |
Cut off the excess paper strip so it creates a square |
You should have a triangle from the folded square |
Next, fold the triangle in half again |
Fold one of the triangle's corners into the middle so it is parallel with the long side of the triangle |
Fold the opposite side over the side you just folded |
Cut off the ears at the top |
This is the creative part |
Cut away with whatever design you'd like! |
When you're satisfied... |
unravel... |
and... voila! Snowflake! |
So pretty! Will you come do this at my house sometime?
ReplyDeleteAw, what you got done was gorgeous!!
